The Soldier Full Marathon course is a 26.2 mile course that starts at the National Infantry Museum and finishes at the National Infantry Museum. The start line and finish line are on the Avenue of Flags along the East side of the National Infantry Museum. The first 7 miles of the course are on Ft. Benning. The remaining 19.2 miles are out and back on the RiverWalk. The 19.2 miles section begins at the National Infantry Museum and continues on S. Lumpkin Road in a Northerly direction and turns left onto the public road that leads to the Water Works Treatment Facility. The course continues on the RiverWalk all the way to Uptown and makes a loop around the TSYS campus before returning on the RiverWalk to Oxbow Meadows and then to the Infantry Museum. Along the way the course bypasses the covered bridge on the RiverWalk and runs alongside the Naval Museum.

The specific details of the course for certification purposes are as follows:

Start on north edge of gray brick of Flagpole 30A on East side of Infantry Museum Avenue of Flags. Proceed North through Avenue of Flags and driveway along East side of Infantry Museum parking lot. Turn right out of parking lot drive and right again (South) onto Ft. Benning Rd. Follow Fort Benning entrance road (Ft. Benning Rd.) which becomes Sigerfoos Rd., turn gentle Right off Sigerfoos onto Lumpkin Rd – going South, then Left on Zuckerman Ave. to Left on Bjornstead St., then Left on Yeager Ave., then Right (North) on Lumpkin Rd., then Right onto Running Ave., then Left onto Baltzell Ave. Then Right onto Lumpkin Rd. and Ft. Benning Rd., then Left onto Custer Rd. for short distance to Right (North) on Riverwalk. Turn North (Right) on S. Lumpkin Rd. to Left on Columbus Water Works (CWW) Access Rd., to slight Right onto Columbus Riverwalk. Follow Riverwalk to Northern point just of 13th St. Bridge, then East adjacent to Bridge to Front Ave., then left along Front Ave. to 14th St., then right to East side of 1st Ave. North to 15th St. Then through Eastern entrance of TSYS parking lot to 16th St. Left on 16th to 1st Ave. to Left back onto Riverwalk, then follow Riverwalk South to 14th St., Left on 14th St. to Front Ave. connector behind Country’s BBQ, to Right under 13th St. Bridge to rejoin Riverwalk. Follow Riverwalk to Columbus Water Works Access Rd. and follow Access Rd. to reconnect onto Columbus Riverwalk at North-West corner of Oxbow Golf Course. Follow Riverwalk to S. Lumpkin Rd., turn Left (North) on S. Lumpkin Rd. to Infantry Museum Parking Lot Entrance, then Right onto Avenue of Flags to the Finish.
